Crafting Joy, One Piece at a Time

Welcome to Elemental Pottery, where every piece is lovingly handmade by me, Sarah. Working from my home studio in Wiltshire, I create unique ceramics inspired by nature, creativity, wellbeing, and everyday comfort.

I’m passionate about exploring different techniques and styles, which means there’s always variety throughout my collections. While each piece is individual, my work naturally centres around four key areas.

The first is functional pottery — mugs, bowls, and everyday pieces designed to bring warmth and comfort to daily life. I believe there’s something truly special about holding a beautifully handmade mug filled with tea or enjoying a comforting bowl of noodles from a piece crafted with care.

My second focus is wellbeing ceramics. These pieces are created to support mindful and spiritual practices, including cacao ceremonies and palo santo rituals. This is an area deeply connected to my own personal wellbeing journey, so it feels especially meaningful to reflect this within my work.

I also create miniature ceramics, which began as a personal challenge to use every last piece of clay from my larger projects. What started as tiny leftover fragments soon became delicate miniature vases and decorative pieces that have grown into a firm favourite collection. Working on such a small scale can be surprisingly challenging, but incredibly rewarding.

Finally, I create ceramics for some of the most important members of the family — our four-legged companions. Inspired by my own two small dogs, I make handcrafted ceramic pet bowls designed with the same care, attention, and love as every other piece in the studio.

Sustainability and environmental responsibility are also incredibly important to me and are at the heart of how I work. I take conscious steps to make Elemental Pottery as sustainable as possible, including using every last piece of clay, recycling water within the studio, and reusing or choosing recyclable packaging for all orders. Most importantly, I create high-quality ceramics designed to be treasured and made to last for years to come.

Every item at Elemental Pottery is individually handmade, celebrating the beauty of craftsmanship, creativity, and the simple comforts that make a house feel like home.
